During the start-up phase of the motor under test all the electric signals (Current, Voltage, Power, cosFI) are acquired, without any sensor or mechanical device connected to the shaft of the motor. Using very fast acquisition cards and mathematic algorithms several motor parameters are measured and calculated allowing the identification of motor problems that produce variations of torque of approximately 10-15%.
The measurements performed are:
- Start-up Voltage, Current and Power
- Start-up Time
- Value of Energy during the start-up phase Voltage – Current – Power – CosFI Vs. Time.
On asynchronous three phase motors it is also possible to calculate the following curves:
- Torque Vs. RPM.
- Power IN/Power OUT/Efficiency Vs. RPM by mathematic model
