The e.d.c. systems can perform the resolver verification in two alternative ways, depending on the Customer's requests:
-
reading by inverter of the offset value;
- verification and calibration using generators.
The first method makes use of the intrinsic functions of the driver to check the offset angle of the resolver. In the other case the system applies a programmable continuous voltage between two motor phases to perform the angular positioning of the resolver. A sinusoidal signal is applied to the two terminals of the excitation winding and the system will display the amplitude and phase of the signals:
-
excitement;
- sine winding;
- cosine winding.
The system will calculate the phase angles between the signals:
-
sine and excitement;
- cosine and excitement;
- offset angle.
