TR Measurement of the Rotor Blocked Current and the Start-up Time (without any external mechanical device) for AC Motors

Analysis at starting point.

During the start-up phase of the motor under test, the current curves and inrush voltage are acquired without the aid of any mechanical device connected to the motor shaft.

The same can be viewed, stored and printed.

From the current curve, the maximum current equivalent to the current relative to the locked rotor is obtained.

The starting time defined as the time required to reach 20% of the no-load current.

This test allows to detect defects (Rotors with broken bars and / or high porosities) which cause a significant reduction in starting torque and at nominal load (about 20% -30%).
