These passive brakes are designed to test AC-DC motors from 10W to 2KW with speeds from 100 to 20,000 RPM. There are two types of cooling for these brakes:
- 4220/xx models Convection cooling by means of a fan inserted in the brake
- 4220/ACxx models Cooling with compressed air
The main features of these brakes are the following:
- Maximum torque is available at all speeds
- The maximum residual torque is <1% of the f.s.
- The accuracy of the torque measurement is equal to:
- Models 4220 / xx: 0.2% of the f.s. + 1% of the read value
- Models 4220 / ACxx 0.2% or 0.1% or 0.05% of the f.s.
