In a market with such a high competitivity, the producers of motors, household appliances, components, …, in addition to the costs, have to look also to the innovation.
But what does it happen when a Customer creates a new product so particular, original, innovative… that no producer of testing system is able to propose a system to test it?
Also this happened in e.d.c. history, more and more times. Among the other, we can quote a case happened in last years, when a Japanese multinational company, in one of its plants in Germany, developed an armature with a winding scheme completely new and never seen before. Even if it was possible to produce it because the design, since the first steps of study and prototyping, was shared with the supplier of the winding machine, the put in production had been stopped temporary because it hadn’t been considered how to test it.
The particular scheme applied, surely full of advantages compared to a more traditional scheme, doesn’t allow to perform the testing in production in a reliable, fast and complete way.
Both the usual supplier at that time of the German plant and other competitors were contacted to check the possibility to design and realise a testing system able to satisfy both the new product and the production requirements. No one was able to propose a valid and working solution.
At this stage e.d.c. had been contacted. After a deep analysis of the product, thanks to the thorough knowledge in the field of measurements acquired in more than 50 years of activity combined with the continued research and evolution of its own solutions, in few days e.d.c. was able to find out the perfect solution to this complex situation.
In few weeks, e.d.c. supplied the testing systems which allowed the Customer to start the intensive production of this new model of armature, with great satisfaction for all the parts involved.
