For the producers of Brushless motors, e.d.c. proposes the systems AMT320/WB. The tests configurations to be performed will be chosen by the Customer (together with the suggestions of e.d.c., which always makes available its experience to its Customers) and the power supply system for the motor under test will be selected in order to cover the range of motors to be tested. About the power supply, it’s possible to use inverter or electronic generators, on the base of the conditions in which the motor will be tested; the eventual inverter (one or more, also with automatic commutation on the base of the models to be tested) for powering the motor under test can be taken from the market or it can be chosen to directly integrate the eventual driver supplied by the Customer.
The systems can be realized to work on automatic line (sometimes supplying also the benches, to be integrate into the line – single or double station, multistation with rotating table, …) or for operator use, with single or double station workbenches, separated or integrated, or rotating tables, …
In addition to the standard electrical safety and functional tests, the systems AMT320/WB have really a lot of different additional tests. For example, it’s possible to integrate tests and or calibration functions for the sensors eventually on board of the motor (Encoder, Hall Sensor, Resolver, …); it can be done also mechanical tests (Cogging and Friction) and for the magnets verifications (Back EMF, available both in traditional mode, through a special bench to set in rotation the motor under test – option 320/BEMF – or in special mode, without coupling, defined Dynamic Back EMF (320/D-BEMF). In addition, mainly for this type of motors, of particular interest can be the different partial discharges tests. Are also available the Vibration and/or Noise measurement and the special DLT Test for Brushless Motors.
